 Need encouragement.
Hi ladies,
I just got back from my appointment at the RE for my follicle check pre-IUI.
I had 2 follies. 1 on the RT ovary, 16mm. 1 on the LT ovary, 20mm (mature). I had my first HCG shot at the office and we are scheduled to do IUI's tomorrow afternoon and Wednesday morning.
My lining was excellent. The RE said measuring 8mm.
I usually don't ovulate until CD18 to CD20. My first clomid cycle, I ovulated on CD16. So with clomid 150 and HCG, I am ovulating on CD14, which we hope is going to fix the problem I am having. We suspect my eggs are too mature when they release.
Hopefully the 16mm follicle on the right matures and we will have a two follicle cycle.
I'm praying breath prayers. Truth be told, I am afraid to get my hopes up.
Thanks for listening all.

 Re: Need encouragement.
Wow, our cycles sound surprisingly similar!
I usually ovulate around Days 18-20, but I noticed this month (no meds or anything) that my EWCM started on Day 14 and has lasted a week! How long was your luteal phase/whole cycle before?
Blessings, and I hope this works for you guys!

 Re: Need encouragement.
Hey, I had IUI #5 on Monday, so we are very close! Praying you get a BFP on your first try.
I am curious. Why are you doing 2 IUIs? We've only ever done one per cycle.

 Re: Need encouragement.
tripper: generally speaking, my luteal phase is between 9-11 with spotting two days prior to actual AF. I started Endometrin 2x daily today for progesterone insufficiency. aphilli: the back to back IUI's are protocol at my RE's office. It is to make sure that you get the most amount of sperm as close to ovulation as possible. Even though we triggered on CD13, it is not possible to tell exactly when one ovulates. Ovulation occurs 24-48 hours post-trigger. My RE does 1 IUI at 24 and 1 IUI at 40-42 to cover all the bases. Also, he told me that washed sperm deposited in the uterus does not live as long so that two IUIs could cover those bases as well. My RE also said that he considers the 2nd IUI the most important. Thanks again for your encouragement. I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about the cycle. On our second IUI, we did an "at home" collection rather than in the office. My husband's sperm count for the 2nd IUI doubled! In the 2ww now and not sure what to expect. My cycles are usually really regular. But this cycle I was on clomid 150, trigger, endometrin. I have no idea how this will affect things. Hopefully it just ends in pregnancy and I don't have to worry about luteal phase haha.
